Robert brown found that the particals moved in a specific way.

Einstein found the mathematical formula to calculate the motion of the particals. He found that the particals moved this way because they were crashing with several other smaller particals. These smaller particals could not be seen under the most powerful light microscope. these particals came to be known as atoms.
