Newton's 1st law of motion an object at rest will remain at rest ,and Object moving at a constant velocity will continue to move at constant velocity unless acted upon by an unblancled force.

Example :- The pile of clothes on your bedroom floor will stay there until you pick them up. ( applying an unbalanced)

Interia - The tedenacy of an object to resist a change in motion.

  • the greater an object's mass , the greater the interia

  • Example :- the bowling ball has more interia than a ping - pong ball

Newton's 1st law of motion = the law of Intertia

Example :- Magicians trick - pulls the table cloth out from under dishes. Dishes stay put because of interia.
