Second law of motion....The second law of motion first derived by Issac newton , states that the acceleration of an object subject to a force is directly proportional to the net force and inversely proportional to the mass of an object, or a =F/m.... where a is acceleration, F is the net force and m is the mass of an object.....

According to Newton's second law of motion, the rate of change of momentum in a body is directly proportional to the force applied on it and the change of momentum takes place in the direction in which the force is applied.
