According to OHM'S LAW,

The current flowing through an electric conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference applied across its ends provided that the temperature is constant.On performing the ohms experiment for an ohmic conductor,it will be noticed that the i against v graph will be a straight line inclined towards x-axis.
