EXAMPLE OF THE PAULI EXCLUSION PRINCIPLE
The exclusion principle asserts that every electrons in an argon atom is in a unique state. The 2s level electrons have a different principle quantum number to those in the 1s orbital. The pair of 2s electrons differ from each other because they have opposite spins.

Pauli Exclusion Principle.
The Pauli Exclusion Principle states that, in an atom or molecule, no two electrons can have the same four electronic quantum numbers.
As an orbital can contain a maximum of only two electrons, the two electrons must have opposing spins.
