Problems faced by road transport in India are:
1.Volume of traffic and passangers is very large.
2.Road network is inadequate.
3.Half the roads are unmetalled, which limits their usage in rainy season.
4.National highways too are inadequate.
5.Roadways are highly congested in cities and most bridges and culverts are old and narrow.
