These are the five differences between scoliodon( dog fish) and asterias( star fish)

- Dog fish belongs to phylum chordate, class pisces whereas star fish belong to phylum Echinodermata.

- Dog fish has scales all over its body whereas star fish contain small spicules.

- Dog fish does not have calcium carbonate structure whereas star fish contain a skeleton made up of calcium carbonate.

- Dog fish contain notochord unlike star fish.

- Dog fish also contain dorsal nerve chord whereas start fish does not.
