Copper is an electrical conductor. Most uses are based on this property. Many of its applications relies more of its properties.  

Corrosion resistant :

It is low in reactivity series. It dosen't corrode.  

Used for decoration.  

Jewellery, statues and parts of buildings is from copper, bronze and remain attractive for many years.

Antibacterial :

Naturally hygienic metal that slows down growth of germs as E-coli and legionella.

It is used for food preparation, hospitals, coins and plumbing systems.

Easily joined :

Copper could be joined by soldering/brazing.  

Useful for pipework and making sealed copper vessels.

Ductile :

Ductile metal and its easily shaped into pipes and drawn into wires.

Copper pipes are lightweight as they have thin walls.
