* it had some inherent defects which made it unstable to dictatorship.
* another problem was article 48, which gave the president all the powers.
* when Weimar republic came, the country had already gone through huge losses due to the war..the treasury was empty and thus Weimar republic couldn't fulfill the demands of the country.
* they even had to pay debt because they were held responsible for the war..thus all the above factors made it politically fragile.
