Many people in India feels girls are just a burden for their parents.This is belief was there in olden times . They feel girl can work nowhere except kitchen.

They also feel girls don't stay with them after getting married . So there is no use of educating a girl.

Dowry is also a reason for this.

So they kill girl before the delivery of baby or few days after delivery.

But i hope this thing changes along with the modern times.
