"Himalayas are a solid defence wall for the country. Their elevation makes it difficult for the enemy to cross them and enter the country on the Northern end.
Himalayas act as shield to the cold winds of Central Asia from entering the country and as a barricade to rain filled winds in Indian Ocean to pass over to the Northern countries.
The forests in Himalayas are dense and natural habitat to many wild animals and birds.
