An Ideal fuel is the one which supports different conditions and in this entire world, there is no fuel which is 100% ideal. So, the characteristics of ideal fuel:-

  • Doesn't releases Harmful gases which causes pollution and acid rain.
  • Readily available.
  • Cheap in terms of cost.
  • Easy to transport.
  • Burns in the air at a moderate rate.
  • They releases high amount of energy.
  • They should have moderate calorific value or high calorific value because fuels like hydrogen which has high calorific value can cause explosion. And, Low calorific value takes a lot of time to burn.
