1. The depictions on ships and boats on seals indicates that Harappans had also carried external trade with their neighbour countries/civilisations majorly by the sea route.

2. Mesopotamian Texts mentioned the trade relations with regions named Dilmun ( possibly the Bahrain island ), Makan and Meluha, possibly the Indus Region. These texts refer to Meluha as a 'land of Seafarers'.
