Although there may be many goals, the two most important goals of development apart from income include - Equality and Respect.

Equal treatment is one essential goal for everyone as discrimination based on gender, religion, caste or social status is very unwelcoming. When there is equality in the society, there will be a scope of development amongst the people.

Earning respect is as important as earning money. Doing good deeds will lead to earning respect in the society which will help in developing one's self. A certain sense of responsibility seeps in when a person is respected in the society.

Apart from these social qualities and income, personal qualities like good health, education, etc are also important to have confidence and to succeed.
