cork floats on water because its low whight...and iron reacts with water and so stinks

Archimedes' principle states that when a body is immersed partially or completely in a liquid, it experiences an upthrust which is equal to the weight of liquid displaced by it...a cork floats in water bcoz the density of cork is less than water whereas an iron nail sinks as its density is more than water.
