Archimedes' Principle states that "  when an object is fully or partially immersed in a fluid, it experiences an upthrust, which is equal to the weight of water displaced by the immersed portion of the object"
Applications of Archimedes' Principle  :
1. Is used in determining relative density of an object.
2. The hydrometers used for determining the density of liquid are based on Archimedes' principle.
3. Lactometers used for determining purity of milk are based on Archimedes' Principle.
4. Archimedes' Principle is used in designing of ships and submarine.

Answer:

1.when a body is partly or wholly immersed in a fluid , it experiences an upthrust or suffers an apparent loss in weight which is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the immersed part of the body.

2.ex.when we drop a stone in a glass full of water , the water from a glass displaced=the weight of stone dropped in a glass of water
