Properties of POP are :-

i)It is white powder.
ii)It has very remarkable property of setting into a hardmass on wetting with water.
iii) It should be stored in moisture proof conatiner. It is prepared from gypsum . It is heated @ the temprature of 100°C. Its loses 3/4 of water and form POP.

==>> Actually plaster of paris is milky white in colour and one of its remarkable property is that it turns into a new solid hardmass basically white in colour after a reaction with H2O i.e. water... and is mostly used in plastering building after cement...u may often observe plaster of Paris being used in flower pots ...and so.... it even loses ¾ of water...along with pop....
