I'm not sure, but I did write an essay about her few years ago.... but I hope it helps...
Anne was infected (eye) which made her blind and she couldn't read or write..
Anne was best known for being the instructor of Helen. Since Helen could not hear or see (deafblind) Anne decided to communicate by spelling words in her hands.
