Microsporogenesis:
1) In this process, haploid microspores are formed from diploid microspore mother cell by meiosis division.
2)It occurs in pollen chamber of anther
3)Microspore are generally arranged n tetrahedral tetrad after meiotic division,
4)All four microspore are tetrad and functional
Megasporogenesis :
1) In this event, haploid megaspore ( embryo-sac) is formed from diploid megaspore mother cell.
2) It takes place inside the nucleus of ovule.
3) The megaspore are commonly arranged in linear tetrad after meiosis.
4) Only one megaspore of a tetrad becomes functional to form embryo-sac.
