State difference between rational and irrational numbers examples

Rational numbers :- a rational number in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q not equal to zero is called a rational number .
Example :- 2/5 , 0/2 etc.

Irrational number :- a number cannot be written in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q not equal to zero .
Example :- 3.142857

A no. in the form of p/q where p,q are integer and q not equal to zero Al's they are co primes is called rational no.
for e.g.1,2,0,5,etc.
whereas a no. which is non terminating and repeating is called an irrational no.
e.g.root 2,5.010010010001........etc.
