SATURATED FATTY ACIDS;

1) only single bond between the carbon bonds that do not have Double bonds
2) solid at room temperature with general formula:
CnH2nO2
3) they have high melting point and boiling point
4) found mostly in animals
example: butyric acid ,lauric acid and stearic acid

UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS:

1) contain one or more double bonds between the carbon bonds
2) liquid at room temperature general formula:
CnH2n-2x O2
3) they have low melting point
4) found in plants
example: olieic acid and linoleic acid

Saturated hydrocarbon

1. Saturated hydrocarbon burn with a blue flame because they contain more hydrogen and less carbon dioxide

2. They under go complete combination

Unsaturated hydrocarbon

1. Unsaturated hydrocarbon burn with a shooty flame because of more carbon content which does not allow them to burn them completely

2. They under go in complete combination
