ARTERIES:

-Arteries are the vessels which carry blood away from the heart to various organs of the body .

-Since the blood emerges from heart exerts a great pressure , so they have thick and elastic walls.

VEINS :

-Veins collect the blood from different organs and bring it back to the heart.

-They don't have thick walls as the blood circulated here are no longer under the pressure.

-They have valves that ensures that the blood flows in one direction only.

CAPILLARIES:

-Capillaries are thin blood vessels that joins arteries to veins.

- They transport some elements such as plasma , proteins through their intracellular spaces to form tissue fluid or lymph .
