Doberneiner's Law of Triads. When elements with similar properties are taken three at a time and arranged in the ascending order of their atomic weights, the atomic weight of the middle element is the average of the atomic weights of the first and third elements.

Dobereiner said that if we arrange elements ( that was present that time)

according to their increasing atomic masses.

The average of 1st and 3rd element is equal to 2nd element

for eg:Li, Na, K

sum of lithium and potassium is 46

Na = 46/2=23.

he called this arrangement as triads

but he couldn't classified all elements known at that time.this was his demerit
