Dobereiner stated in his law of triads that the arithmetic mean of the atomic masses of the first and third element in a triad would be approximately equal to the atomic mass of the second element in that triad.

What are the drawbacks of Dobereneirs laws

Dobereiner could identify only three triads. He was not able to prepare triads of all the known elements. All the known elements could not be arranged in the form of triads. For very low mass or for very high mass elements, the law was not holding good.
