Putting the forefinger, middle finger and thumb of our left hand , all at right angle to each other. with the forefinger in the direction of field and middle finger in the direction of current, then the thumb gives the direction of force, are shows Fleming Left-Hand Rule.

♦ The forefinger represents magnetic field, the middle finger represents current, and thumb represents force.

\text{\underline{ \underline {Armature } }}

The function of an armature as an electromagnet, producing the magnetic field that will react with the stator to force produce a rotation from the shaft.

\text{\underline{ \underline {Brushes } }}

The function of brushes is to make contact with the rotating rings of the commutator and through them to supply current through the coil .

\text{\underline{ \underline {Split Ring} }}

The function of split ring is to reserve the direction of current flowing through the coil every time the coil just passes the vertical position during a revolution .

ANSWER----

Fleming Left-Hand Rule

Putting the forefinger, middle finger and thumb of our left hand , all at right angle to each other. with the forefinger in the direction of field and middle finger in the direction of current, then the thumb gives the direction of force, are shows Fleming Left-Hand Rule.

♦ The forefinger represents magnetic field, the middle finger represents current, and thumb represents force.

Principle of electric motor

A motor works on the principle that when the coil rotates, the shaft attached to it also rotates. In this way the electrical energy supplied to the motor is converted into the mechanical energy of rotation.

Function of the following

Armature

The function of an armature as an electromagnet, producing the magnetic field that will react with the stator to force produce a rotation from the shaft.

Brushes

The function of brushes is to make contact with the rotating rings of the commutator and through them to supply current through the coil .

Split Ring

The function of split ring is to reserve the direction of current flowing through the coil every time the coil just passes the vertical position during a revolution .
