1) Flemmings left hand rule states that when u stretch the forefinger, central finger and thumb finger of ur left hand mutually perpendicular to each other, the forefinger indicates the direction of magnetic field, the central finger indicates the direction of current flowing then the thumb gives u the directing of motion of the conductor.

Flemmings left hand rule is used in DC motors to find the direction of force on conductor which works on the principle : when an electric current is passed through a conductor places normally to the magnetic field, a force is applied on it.

2) Flemmings right hand rule states that when u stretch ur forefinger, central finger, and thumb finger of the right hand mutually perpendicular to each other, the forefinger indicates the direction of magnetic field and the thumb finger indicates the direction of motion of conductor then the central finger I dictates the flow of current .

Flemmings right hand rule is used to find the direction of flow of current in ac generator which works on the principle of electromagnetic induction.

3) Right hand thumb rule states that if we hold the current carrying conductor in our right hand such that the thumb points in the direction of flow of current then the fingers encircle the conductor in direction of the magnetic field..
