●there is no magnetic strength at the centre of bar magnet.

●when heated to red -hot ,it loses its magnetic strength .

Magnet is a material or substance that can attract other materials like iron,cobalt etc or repel other magnets when they are facing same poles.

It is an substance that produces an field inside which the influence can be felt by an magnetic body or any other magnet.

Properties of magnet=

1)A freely suspended magnet always stays in north south direction.

2)The field lines never interest at a point of an magnet.

3)It produces uniform magnetic field.

4)The field lines comes from north and emerge at South pole in outside the magnet.

Inside the magnet,the field lines comes from South pole and emerges at north pole.

5)Opposite sides of an bar magnet attracts and same sides repel each other.

6)They are generally made of ferromagnnetic material like cobalt,iron etc.

7)At the centre the power of Attraction is the least and at the poles the attraction is the most.
