Some of the functions of Mesosomes are:-
➡️Mesosomes are involved in septum formation during cell division.
➡️They carry a site for the attachment of signal peptides
➡️They have a an attachment for DNA for replication and contains enzymes used during replication.
➡️They control the activity of Autolytic enzymes.

- Mesosome is formed by the extensions of plasma membrane into the cell.
- Those extensions are in the form of vesicles, tubules and lamellae.
- They help in cell wall formation, DNA replication and distribution to daughter cells.
