state functions of the guard cells . What will happen to the guard cell and stomata pore when water flows to the guard cell ?

The guard cells actually helps in controlling the opening and closing of the stomatal aperture i.e the stomatal pore.
If water flows through the guard cells then they become turgid and bulge out ,thus opening the stomatal pore in order to allow diffusion of gases or transpiration.

  2. Regulate the rate of transpiration.
  3. Controlling water loss within a leaf.
  4. Regulate opening & closing of stomata.
