It is also known as Gauss's flux theorem. It is generally used to relates the flow of electric field lines (flux) to the charges within the enclosed surface
If a closed surface is imagined in a magnetic field, the number of lines of force emerging from the surface must be equal to the number entering it. that is the net magnetic flux out of any closed surface is 0
Gauss law signifies that magnetic monopoles does not exist.
