From my point of view television (T.V) could not be completely disposed off as an idiot box because of the following reasons:-
1. It is true that there are many unnecessary programmes which is being runned on the T.V which can destroy someone's harmony and could be of no use but still there are some channels which can be a great source of information.
2. News channels are one of the best source of information, they can help us to be updated with the latest happenings around the globe.
3. Sometime we need something for our entertainment and T.V could be one of these source.
