Henry's law stipulates that the solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that particular gas.

The partial pressure of the gas in solution is  = KH x mole fraction of gas in solution, where KH is Henry's law constant.

Application: Because of high pressure, and low temperature and at the same time, if it is cooled and chilled, a large amount of gas will be dissolved in water.

As soon as the bottle is opened under normal ambient conditions, the dissolved gas escapes out to reach a new equilibrium state necessary for the real pressure.
