QUESTION -: STATE HOW A CITY'S LARGE POPULATION was both an thre at and opportunity.

=========
Answer-:
==========

☛ In the severe winter of 1886, when outdoor work came to a standstill, the London's poor exploded in a r iot demanding removal of poverty

☛ Many shopkeepers closed their shops as thousands marched from Deptford to London. They were dispersed by the police.

☛ A similar riot occurred in 1887, which was also brutally suppressed by the police and what is known as the Blo.ody Sunday of November 1887..

☛ Two years later, thousands of do ckworkers went on strike.

▶ So, large masses could be drawn into political causes in the city. A large population in a city was therefore, both a threat and an opportunity.◀

  • I believe i know the answer for only one part of the question "how is it a threat??? "
  • As population increases the demand or need for resources increases as a result resources are depleted.
  • Resources included are fossil fuels, water, etc.
  • Main reason for the depletion of resources are the triple E or the EEE
  • EEE; Over Exploitation,  Excessive use, unEqual distribution.
  • As resources are not equally distributed in our environment .
