cornea allows the light rays to pass through it into the eye.
the pupil regulates the amount of light.
the iris is a dark flexible muscle which controls the pupil.
the retina receives the light .
the optic nerve receives the light and converts it into an electric impulse and carries it to the brain.
then the brain interprets it and sends it to the retina.
