State Joule's law of heating. Explain the working of electric filament bulb
Answers
Answer:
Explanation:
Joule's law of heating states that the power of heating generated by an electrical conductor is proportional to the product of it's resistance and the square of the electric current passing through the conductor .
Joule's law of heating states that when a current 'i' passes through a conductor of resistance 'r' for time't' then the heat developed in the conductor is equal to the product of the square of the current, the resistance and time.
H = i²rt
Working of electric filament bulb:
In bulb there is a filament ( thin wire inside a bulb that emits light) through which the electric current passes and then the current heats the filament to produce light. After this the current from the filament goes down to another wire and out of the bulb via the metal portion at the side of the pocket.
