Law of refraction is generally known as Snell's law which governs the behaviour of light rays as they propagate across a sharp interface between two transparent media.

  • The angle of incidence ,angle of refraction and the normal at the point of incident on the surface of separation of the two media will always be in the same plane.
  • The ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence to the sine of the angle of refraction will always be a constant. This is known as Snell's law.
