According to Le Chatelier's principle, when the concentration of any of the reactants or products in a reaction atequilibrium is changed, thecomposition of the equilibrium mixture changes so as to minimize theeffect of concentration changes.

Dear Prathiksha,

◆ Le Chatelier's principle -

- It states that if a system in chemical equilibrium is subjected to a disturbance it tends to change in a way that opposes this disturbance.

# Effect of change in concentrations on the composition of equilibrium mixture -

- When concentration of either reactants/products are changed, system modifies itself in the way so as to minimize the change.

- Increase in conc. of reactant favours the forward reaction so as to decrease its conc. in equilibrium mixture.

- Increase in conc. of products favours the reverse reaction so as to decrease its conc. in equilibrium mixture.

Hope this helped you. Thanks for asking..
