- Expression for induced emf:
- Let a rectangular coil PQRS move in a uniform magnetic field such that velocity (V) of the coil is perpendicular to the field (B).

- When the loop enters the magnetic field, the net magnetic flux ϕ through area PQRS changes with time. This induces an emf in the loop.
