state maxwell's right hand grip rule giving digram .a straight conductor placed horizontally is carring current from west to east .what will be the direction of magnetic field lines around it?

Maxwell's Right Thumb Rule :

If  you are holding a current-carrying straight conductor in your right hand such that the thumb points towards the direction of current. Then your fingers will wrap around the conductor in the direction of the field lines of the magnetic field,  This is known as the right-hand thumb rule.

note :Refer to first figure for rule definition.

The current is in the west -east direction. Applying the right-hand thumb rule, we get that the direction of magnetic field at a point below the conductor is from south to north. The direction of magnetic field at a point directly above the conductor is from north to south..
