Answer:

Gregor Johann Mendel was a scientist who is recognized as the father and the founder of genetics. Mendel concluded many experiments on the pea plant( Pisum sativum ) . He studied the results of experiments and deducted many observations. Thus, law of inheritance came into existence.

There were three laws of inheritance:-

1. Law of dominance-

This law states that in a heterozygous condition, the allel whose characters are expressed over the other allel is called the dominant allel and the characters of this dominant allel are called dominant characters.

2.Law of segregation-

This law states that when two traits come together in one hybrid pair, the two character do not mix with each other and each gamate receive one of the two alleles during meiosis of the chromosomes.

3. Law of independent assortment-

This law states that, there are separate genes in separate traits and characters and they influence and sort themselves independently of the other genes....

According to Mendel's First Law of Inheritance or The Law of Dominance, ''In the cross between two parents who differ in one genetic characteristic for which they are both homozygous, all the offsprings in the first filial generation are equal to the examined characteristic in the genotype and phenotype showing the dominant trait...''

According to Mendel's Second Law of Inheritance or The Law of Segregation, ''The characteristics or the traits of an organism are determined by internal factors which occur in pairs. Only one of a pair of such factors can be present in a single gamete...''

According to Mendel's Third Law of Inheritance or The Law of Independent Assortment, ''In the inheritance of more than one pair of traits in a cross simultaneously, the factors responsible for each pair of traits are distributed independently to the gametes...''
