Answer:

Newton's First Law states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force. It may be seen as a statement about inertia, that objects will remain in their state of motion unless a force acts to change the motion.

EXAMPLES:

1. When you are in bus and it starts moving then you lean backwards. This is because your legs come in motion along with bus while upper part is at rest.

2. When bus is suddenly stopped then we lean forward. This is because this time we are at motion while legs come to rest along with motion.

3. When we are moving in a direction along with bus and the bus turn then we lean opposite of that direction because our body wants to be in that direction as it is.

4. When we jump from a moving bus then we have to keep running along with bus for sometime. This is because if we stop suddenly then our legs will come in rest while upper part in motion and we will fall.
