State Newton's formula for the velocity of sound in air. Point out the error and hence discuss the Laplace's correction.

Newton formula is v=√E/d here v is velocity of sound and E is elastic modulus d is density of the medium

for the gases the velocity will depends gamma values too. Laplace corrected that formula as v=√gamma×p / density.
