State Newton’s second law of motion. A man throws a ball of mass 0.4
kg vertically upward with a velocity of 10 m/s. What will be its initial
momentum? What would be it’s momentum at the highest point of its
reach?

NEWTON SECOND LAW OF MOTION ➡

It state that rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to force applyied.

\frac{dp}{dt}=F.........(a)

Here \frac{dp}{dt} is rate of change of momentum with respect to time and F is force.

Differentiate equation (a)

\frac{mdv}{dt}=F

Since dp=mdv and\frac{dv}{dt}=a

equation become

F=ma

where m is mass a is Acceleration of body.
