state Newton's second law of motion and show that the first law of motion can be mathmaticaly stated from the mathematical expression for the second law of motion.

Newton's second law states that rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the Force applied.

=>F = ma

If an object is at rest it's acceleration will be zero and thus the Force will also be zero. Then it will remain at rest. And if it is in acceleration it's a constant Force will be applied on it. Thus it will remain in motion.
