Newtons three laws of motion and their significance is :-

(1) A body remains in its state of rest or uniform motion until compelled by a external force.
It's significance is :-
It gives is qualitative(non -numerical ) idea about force. It also explains Galileo experiment ( i.e tells about inertia ).

(2) Force is directly proportional to the rate of change of momentum.
It's significance is :-
It gives us quantitative (numerical) value or idea about force

(3) To an every action , there is an equal and opposite reaction.
It's significance is :-
It explains recoiling of gun , launching of rockets , etc.

The laws are: (1) Every object moves in a straight line unless acted upon by a force. (2) The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force exerted and inversely proportional to the object's mass. (3) For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
