Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation :-

Every object in the universe attracts every other object with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of distance between them.

Let A and B be two objects of masses m1 and m2 respectively , separated by a distance 'd' .

Then, The force between them F :-

F α m1 x m2

(d)^2

(α is proportionality sign)

Removing proportionality sign, we get :-

F = G x m1 x m2

(d)^2

Where G is constant of proportionality and its value is :-

6.67 \times  {10}^{ - 11} n {m}^{2}  {kg}^{ - 2}
