A/c to octet rule atoms combine by the transfer of e- or by sharing of e- to complete their octet in their valence shell.

Answer:
Octet rule are following : -
Octet rule : During the formation of a
chemical bond, an atom of a particular
element gains, loses or shares electrons
with other atoms until it acquires a
stable electronic configuration of eight
electrons (the octet) in its valence shell
as in the nearest noble gas, except H
atom which acquires 2 electrons like He.
The octet rule refers to the tendency of atoms to prefer to have eight electrons in the valence shell. When atoms have fewer than eight electrons, they tend to react and form more stable compounds
