The electrical resistance of the wire depends on the following factors:

1) effect of the length on the resistance of a conductor or wire: the resistance of the wire is directly proportional to its length.
i)If the length of the wire is doubled,its resistance also get double.
ii) If the lengthof the wireis halved,its resistance also get halved

2) effect of the area of cross section on the resistance of a conductor : the resistance of the wire is inversely proportionl ti its area of cross section.
