Akbar reorganised central machinery of administration, on the basis of division of power between various departments.

• He abolished Jizya (tax by non-muslim) and Pilgrimage tax and forcible conversion of prisoners of war and this gave them confidence in rule and Sytem of mugal empire.
• He believed in Sulh-i-kul, means Peace for all and called for peace in empire.
• He built Ibadat Khana at Fatehpur Sikri to discuss religious matters.He invited many distinguished persons from Hindu,Parsi,Jain, Christian , making Mugal empire a religious tolerance one.
• Mansabdari system was a great feature of administration during Akbar's reign to organise the nobility as well as the army.He was the first Mugal ruler to separate religion from politics.
