A physical change is a change in which no new substance is formed while a chemical change results in the formation of one or more new substances.

One basic difference between a physical change and a chemical change is as  stated below:

In a physical change there are no new products formed and also the chemical composition of the products remain unchanged and only physical form or structure changes.

In a chemical change, chemical composition is altered which may or may not be accompanied by physical changes and results in the formation of new products with the new chemical composition.
